Other database programs tend to be highly structured. Information is placed in "fields" of specific size and location. Searching for such information normally requires that you choose the field to search and then what to search for. For example, a person's name may be in the "Name:" field. A search of that field would find that person. But their name may also show up in a different field in another person's file. Traditional databases will miss those files.

NetStorm Intelligence Analyst will find all occurrences, anywhere, in any field or just mentioned in the body of other text.

NetStorm Intelligence Analyst is a text-oriented, free-form or structured database program with incredibly fast and powerful search and analysis capabilities. It is ideal for individuals and investigative and law enforcement organizations which deal with large amounts of text information.

GRAB INFORMATION FROM OTHER SOURCES:

Search across records from various sources to find correlations. Import from word processors, ASCII, dBase, comma delimited, tab delimited, fixed field or spreadsheet files etc. This information can be combined with information from other sources to build a complete and easily searched database. Import a "mixed bag" of information and the program analyzes, organizes and reports the important information in the way you need it.

MAGIC MARKER FIELDING

Use a "magic marker" system to impose markers on free-form information. Place unique markers on names, companies, locations and many other factors. Run reports to extract contact structures, event flows, critical data, etc. This is a unique and powerful tool.

FULL TEXT INDEXING:

Files can automatically be full text indexed. Search hundreds of megabytes of information in a few seconds.

GLOBAL AND SELECT FILES:

Searches can be run within one file, across selected files or across the entire disk.

HYPERTEXT:

One of the most powerful tools in NetStorm Intelligence Analyst is its full hypertext capabilities. Move the cursor to any word or phrase, right click the mouse, click Hypertext, and the program will take you to every other occurrence of that word or phrase. Hypertext is also used to set up menu's , run internal programs, run external programs such as word processing, graphics, communications, spreadsheets, etc., link information between files, and many other applications.

SECURITY:

Information which is highly sensitive can be protected with several levels of password and data encryption. NetStorm Intelligence Analyst can provide password access for read-only or update and can be encrypted so that it cannot be read by any other software.

GRAPHICS LINKS:

NetStorm Intelligence Analyst permits object linking and embedding (OLE). Photo's, maps, layouts, sketches, charts, spreadsheets and other applications can be linked to records and accessed with a mouse click.

EVENT FLOW:

Take many reports and sort events into chronological history, or sort by any desired item(s). For example, list in date/time order every record in which two or more specified individuals are mentioned. List all the subjects, locations and key notes in those records. Instantly create new special purpose reports as desired. No programming necessary.

ORGANIZATION / ASSOCIATES STRUCTURE:

Use multiple data bases or information sources to make associations between people, organizations or events and develop a complete relationship structure.

SEARCH FOR MULTIPLE SYNONYMS ACROSS FILES:

Car, auto, automobile, vehicle, motor vehicle, transportation, Chevy, etc. can be used to describe a vehicle. Intelligence Analyst can search for words meaning the same thing, in one pass. You choose the words.

CROSS-REFERENCE BETWEEN DATABASES:

Combine two or more databases into NetStorm Intelligence Analyst, using or imposing some field structure. Then automatically search for duplicates in one or more designated fields. For example, compare vehicle descriptions and registrations against lists of known offenders, automatically.

CASE MANAGEMENT:

NetStorm Intelligence Analyst works the way you do. When a file is opened, certain information may be a standard requirement, but much of it may come randomly, sporadically. Much of the information may not fit into neat categories (at the beginning). NetStorm Intelligence Analyst does not require fixed structure planning in advance. Information can be entered in a completely unstructured form or can be partly structured with as much narrative as desired. Reports can be searched, compared and cross-referenced to pull out even the most minute details.

The NTI Case Manager is a more highly structured package for managing the details of a major case. It works with Intelligence Analyst to assure that every piece of important information is available when needed.

RUN TIME MODULE:

NetStorm Intelligence Analyst can be used with a READ-ONLY module to permit distribution of information while preventing its alteration. This is useful for providing disclosure of information (as required in legal proceedings) without allowing modification of the information. The read-only module has all the power of NetStorm Intelligence Analyst but cannot be used to add, delete, or update files.
