Archaeological Expedition, Yukon Territory - 1959

At age 15, the authour, Bruce Ritchie, spent the summer working with the National Museum of Canada's Archaeological Department in the Yukon. All the photographs were shot using a Kodak Brownie Starflash camera and Ektachrome slide film (probably ASA 25).

As I was very active in Boy Scouts, arrangements were made by the Boy Scouts National Commissioner for Bill and I to be met at Edmonton and Dawson Creek.

Three days later, we arrived in Edmonton, Alberta. We were hosted by the Boy Scouts.

We took the Northern Alberta Railway (the Muskeg Express) from Edmonton to Dawson Creek. It was an old steam engine right out of an 1800's wild west movie.
